How we compare, and why this way.

A useful comparison is not a flattering one. Our grids use fourteen verifiable criteria, including the five where competitors are at parity or better, and every competitor cell restates a public claim by that vendor, dated and linked.

The comparisons

Start with the alternative that is actually yours

In most companies we meet, the first alternative considered is not another product: it is building it in-house with the AI assistant already licensed. So we treat that first, with the same grid.

Most common

In-house build vs Optivalue.ai

Assembling a general-purpose AI assistant and an internal document base. What that covers, what remains to be built, and what maintenance costs over five years. The French page carries the full grid.

The criteria

Five parity criteria, nine differentiators

The first five exist for methodological honesty: a grid built only on the differences that favour us would be a misleading omission, and a professional buyer would see it immediately.

Core of the category, parity expected

Document analysis · Automated questionnaire answering · Proposal or written submission generation · Collaboration and approval workflow · Announced integrations.

The differentiators

Jurisdiction of the vendor entity · Announced hosting location · Announced deployment modes · Announced languages · Breadth of questionnaire types covered · Announced vendor certifications · Analyst recognition, dated · Help drafting missing documents · Built-in regulatory monitoring.

Our negative rules

What you will not find in our comparisons

  1. 01

No adjectives about a third party

We describe what is announced; we do not rate the quality of a product we do not operate.

  2. 02

    No price line

Prices vary by scope and negotiation; comparing them publicly would mislead.

  3. 03

    No third-party logos

No other vendor’s marks or visual identity: the name is enough to identify the subject of a comparison.

  4. 04

No mention of litigation, funding or difficulties

It is not a selection criterion; it is noise.

  5. 05

A dated survey and a correction promise

Every grid states its survey date and links its sources. Report an error and we correct it within 5 working days, with the correction dated.

No grid replaces a test on your documents.

Ask every candidate for the same thing: your real questionnaire, processed in front of you, with the evidence behind each answer.
