“I wanted to surround myself with a Strategic Committee made up of decision-makers who use artificial intelligence every day.”

Olivier Guillo, Chairman, CEO and founder. Two executives, four independent experts, and white papers that set out where AI saves time — and where it stops.

The white papers

The Committee publishes its thinking in the form of interviews. Each white paper covers one specific use of artificial intelligence, with its measured gains and its limits.

Artificial intelligence and certification

Charles Ly Wa Hoi, former Executive Vice President of SGS, in conversation with Philippe Montigny, Chair of the Strategic Committee.

The heart of certification remains the signature of a trusted third party. This white paper examines where AI saves the auditor time without ever shifting their responsibility: document review, compiling observations written in several languages, drafting the pre-report clause by clause.

It also sets the precondition. An audit involves personal data and trade secrets: without control over confidentiality, no certification body can commit. To date, fewer than 5% of accredited bodies have integrated generative AI into their ISO/IEC 17021 processes.

The strategic choice of a proprietary AI

Olivier Guillo, CEO of Optivalue.ai, in conversation with Philippe Montigny, Chair of the Strategic Committee.

The question is no longer “which AI should we choose?” but “who owns the intelligence produced by using it?”. A pooled AI learns for all its users, competitors included. A proprietary AI learns only from you.

Written for executive committees and boards of directors, this white paper distinguishes two mechanisms that the word “learning” conflates: training pooled models on customer data, and private knowledge capitalisation. It draws on research published in Science Advances and PNAS on the homogenisation of AI-assisted output, and ends with the five questions to ask any provider before deployment.
