Loopio and Optivalue.ai: a factual comparison to help you choose.

Both solutions answer the same need: producing questionnaire responses and proposals from a company’s existing documentation. The comparison is therefore a fair one. It covers fourteen objective criteria, five of which Loopio matches or leads on.

Who Loopio is for

North American bid and pre-sales teams handling a high volume of RFPs and questionnaires, who have built an answer library maintained by a dedicated team.

Who Optivalue.ai is for

Organisations whose answers legally bind the person who signs them — tenders, security questionnaires, DDQs, audits — and who need replayable traceability, maintained regulatory expertise, and sovereign deployment all the way to on-premises.

Comparison drawn up from the vendors’ public information. Survey dated 25 July 2026. Vendor’s site: loopio.com.

The grid

Fourteen criteria, strict symmetry

Five core-category criteria first: their presence is what makes the grid representative. A grid built only on the differences that favour us would be a misleading omission.

What the grid says against us

On the five core-category criteria, this vendor is at parity. It states ten years of prior art on its models, an entry in the CSA STAR registry, an annual third-party penetration test, and Salesforce and Microsoft 365 connectors that we do not offer. The difference lies in jurisdiction, deployment mode, generation of missing documents and regulatory watch — not in the ability to answer a questionnaire.

Background

Three things that weigh on the decision

What jurisdiction changes

The jurisdiction of the publishing entity determines the law governing the contract and the remedies available; the jurisdiction of the processing location determines who may lawfully demand access to the data. These are two separate questions, and regional hosting answers only the second half of the second one. What sovereignty covers.

What specialisation changes

A general-purpose response tool optimises the production of text from a library. A tool specialised by function and by sector optimises the quality of the evidence: knowing which document a requirement calls for, and that a vague wording will cost you marks. Where our expertise comes from.

What document generation changes

When no source supports an answer, there are two paths: produce a plausible answer anyway, or declare the gap and help write the missing document. The second changes what the tool is: the questionnaire leaves the company better documented than it found it. The mechanism.

Method, sources and corrections

Comparison drawn up on 25 July 2026 from the vendors’ public information. Every cell concerning Loopio restates a public claim made by the vendor, with its link; any absence is written “not stated on the vendor’s site as of 25/07/2026” and never “does not do it”. Source consulted: loopio.com. Loopio is a trademark of its owner, cited here for identification purposes within a factual comparison.

Sources consulted on 25/07/2026: loopio.com/platform/security (AWS hosting, ISO 27001 framework, GDPR, penetration testing, SSO) · loopio.com (encryption, request types, portals) · loopio.com/platform (features) · CSA STAR registry (name, dates). A dated text archive is kept in our internal record of the survey.
