Born in compliance, extended to pre-sales.

Most questionnaire response tools come from sales and add compliance on top. We do the opposite: we come from governance, risk and compliance (GRC), where an answer has to be evidenced, versioned and signed, and we have extended that requirement to pre-sales.

Why a product’s origin matters

A tool designed to speed up selling optimises the fluency of the text. A tool designed to stand up to scrutiny optimises the traceability of every claim. Both produce answers; only one produces answers you can defend. The difference cannot be made up with an added feature: it lies in the evaluation criteria trained into the agents.

How it began

What we did before we built a product

Writing the policies that others would audit

Security policies, procedures, records of processing, continuity plans: we wrote them for large groups, knowing that an auditor would read them line by line, and that an imprecise sentence would become a nonconformity.

Preparing files that bind whoever signs them

Answers to supervisory authorities, certification files, investor questionnaires. In this line of work you learn one thing: what protects you is not the quality of the wording, it is the document you can produce to back it up.

Seeing that pre-sales faced the same problem, without the same reflexes

Security questionnaires and tenders demand exactly the same evidence work as an audit, but they arrive in a commercial context, with a short deadline and no culture of traceability. Hence the product.

Training that practice into specialised agents

What a team of consultants knew how to do has been carried over into 72 function agents and 12 sector agents, plus a librarian that indexes your documentation: 85 agents, each with its own evidence criteria.

85 agents

What “specialised” means in practice

When a general-purpose tool receives a question on a bank’s operational resilience requirements, it produces a plausible answer. When an agent trained in banking compliance receives it, it knows what evidence is expected, in what form, and which imprecision will make the review fail.

Function agents

Information security, data protection, legal, compliance, quality, purchasing, ESG, finance, HR, public procurement, pre-sales… Each one knows the vocabulary, the requirements and the kind of evidence of its domain.

Sector agents

Banking and insurance, healthcare, defence and aerospace, energy, transport, public sector, industry, tech… The same subject is not evidenced in the same way depending on the sector asking you.

Librarian

It indexes your documentation, keeps the version history and knows which document is authoritative on which date. Without it, the other 84 would have nothing to cite.

On a given file, the relevant agents work together rather than one after another: the answer to a question on subcontracting draws at the same time on the legal agent, the security agent and the agent for the sector asking you. See the full mechanism.

What we do not claim

A general-purpose tool is enough, up to a point.

For a draft, an internal summary or a rewording, a general-purpose AI assistant does the job very well, and costs less. We do not claim otherwise.

The line is the signature. As soon as a document leaves the company and binds whoever signed it, you must be able to produce the source, the version, the score and the approver’s name. That is where a product’s origin costs you or pays off.

Exactly where the line falls

  • ·An internal note, meeting minutes, a first outline: a general-purpose tool is fine.
  • ·An answer sent to a client, a buyer, an investor or an authority: you need the evidence.
  • ·A document that becomes contractual once the contract is awarded: you need the evidence and the approver.
  • ·A statement read later by an auditor: you also need replayability.

Frequently asked

Our difference, in six questions

01

How is Optivalue.ai different?

Through its origin, which determines the criteria. We come from governance, risk and compliance, where an answer has to be evidenced, versioned and signed. The platform applies that requirement to pre-sales, instead of adding compliance to a sales tool.

02

What is an agent, and why 85?

An agent is a component specialised in one domain, with its own evidence criteria: 72 function agents, 12 sector agents, and a librarian that indexes your documents. The number is not an argument in itself; what matters is that a banking compliance question is handled by an agent that knows banking compliance.

03

Is this expertise frozen?

No: Optivalue Watch monitors 193 jurisdictions and updates the assessment grids when a text changes. Regulatory expertise that is not maintained becomes wrong within eighteen months.

04

Does the agents’ expertise replace our experts?

No, it changes what is asked of them. Your experts no longer spend their time finding and copying what already exists: they decide the sensitive points and approve. The signature remains human and personal.

05

Do the agents know our sector?

Twelve sector agents cover the sectors most exposed to questionnaires. The best check is a direct one: bring a question specific to your business to the demonstration and judge the answer.

06

Do you also provide consulting?

Our business is software publishing. The expertise described here is the expertise trained into the product; to build and maintain your documentation over time, the group publishes Smart Global Governance.
